Aqiqah is a highly encouraged religious practice which is performed by Muslims when a child is born. Alongside celebrating new life It is a means of expressing gratitude to Allah Swt for the blessing he has bestowed us with.
The practice in itself involves the sacrifice of an animal & the meat of which is distributed among the poor.
For nearly three decades, The Qurbanaid International has been providing & Helping Distributing to the underprivileged children in South East Asia –Providing Foods & Daily Requirement.
Aqiqah should be performed following the same rules and principles of Qurbani. The animal must be healthy and satisfy the age criteria for slaughter.
Qurbani refers to the act of sacrificing particular types of animals, such as sheep, cattle, or goats, for the love of Allah (SWT)
Qurbanaid Internatioal is proud to be the first charity to begin giving Qurbani in the South East Asia specifically tailored to impoverished families right here up and down the country.

HOW WE HELP YOUR PERFORM AQIQAH & QURBANI
Once you make a donation (by band/unit) , QurbanAid will then instruct our recognised and registered slaughterhouses to carry out the sacrifice on your behalf. We follow strict shariah guidelines to ensure this is implemented on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah, which will be on 17 June 2024 (dependingon the sighting of the moon and confirmation of Eid.)
The animal sacrificed is a hogget, a lamb in its second spring or summer, aged between one and two years. While still tender, a hogget’s extra time on pasture allows it to develop a flavour that is richer and fuller. When it comes to the sacrifice, each animal is slaughtered quickly and painlessly to ensure they do not suffer needlessly.

Last year alone we provided over 5,000 kg of high-quality meat to families facing financial hardship, as well as to the elderly, shelters, and local centres to ensure those who need it most benefited from nutritional meals during the period of Eid al Adha.
